​Desiree Tahiri is an emerging artist that works across the mediums of sculpture, film, and photography. Her work is situated within feminist and queer philosophies, the abject, and the surreal. Sociological ways of thinking about the world infiltrate her interdisciplinary art practice.  

 

Desiree has completed a double degree in Arts and Creative Arts, majoring in Visual Arts and Sociology. She recently graduated with an Honours Arts Degree, during which she produced a sociological thesis about visually subversive aspects of Queer Punk subculture, alongside a mixed media art installation entitled Punk Rat.
